Elevate your special day with live event service of ceremony painting. I will skillfully capture the essence of your wedding ceremony on canvas, providing a unique and personalised piece of art that you can cherish for a lifetime. From the exchanging of vows to the emotions shared by loved ones, to transform precious moments into a work of art.

THE PROCESS

After you contact me, we would have an initial meeting to discuss your event and preferences,  any specific details you want to capture in the painting. This conversation will help me understand your vision and expectations.

Once we've discussed the details, we would enter into an agreement that outlines the terms, complete a booking form, including the cost, the size of the painting, and any other specific requirements. There would be a non-refundable deposit of 20% to be paid when submitting the booking form. This is to ensure your event date is secured. The rest of the payment will need to be made 4 weeks before the event. 

Apart from painting the ceremony, I also love painting the beautiful bridal bouquets. I carefully create detailed portrait of these stunning floral arrangement, capturing their beauty and what they mean for the big day, preserving it as a timeless piece of art. It's a unique way to cherish the memories of the wedding day long after the flowers have wilted.

On the day of the event

To ensure a seamless process, I arrive at least 2 hours prior to the event's commencement to set up my art supplies and easel in a suitable location. I start painting the background details, ready for when the guests arrive, so there will already be an intriguing painted depiction of your background setting, whether that be a garden, a mandap or a dancefloor. You choose the moment depicted.

Throughout the event, I would begin working on the painting, capturing the atmosphere, scenery and the VIP. Guests can watch the painting evolve in real-time, which can be an exciting and interactive experience. I would also engage with guests who may have questions about my process or provide insight into the painting as it progresses.

My painting style adopts an impressionistic approach, capturing scenes with a more abstract and evocative interpretation, emphasising the interplay of light and colour over meticulous detailing of faces and attire. The finished painting would serve as a unique and lasting memento of your event, capturing the memories and atmosphere in a way that photographs cannot.

​All of my live event canvas paintings are completed using high quality acrylic paints on cotton stretched canvas and coated with either matt or satin varnish to protect the painting. I can also do oil painting, please let me know so I can send a separate quote for that.​

Please note, I will aim to complete the painting on the day. However, if the painting needs more detail work I can have it completed and arrange for its delivery to a location of your choice.

Creating artwork during the event requires 6 - 8 hours. Refining and varnishing painting in the studio and deliver to the customer within three weeks.

a) Couple only + venue background.

1) 16 x 20" - £950

2) 20 x 24" - £1100 

3) 24 x 30" - £1200

4) 30 x 40" - £1350

b) Couple + up to 4 VIPs/Guests to be included in the painting: 

1) 20 x 24" - £1400

2) 24 x 30" - £1550

3) 30 x 40" - £1700

  • Please contact me here requesting a booking form, if you want to book. Your painting will be priced according to the canvas size you choose, the number of individual portraits to be included, and the location of your venue. Please email me to request full details of all the packages offered. I regret that I cannot hold dates provisionally without a booking form and non-refundable deposit of 20% of the package price.

    The balance would be due 4 weeks before the event.

    I do not offer specific payment plans but you are welcome to pay in instalments if you discuss with me at booking.

  • I can travel outside my standard service area of Bedfordshire, but this will incur small additional cost. I offer a flat rate for events in Bedfordshire areas. However, for events beyond this region, there may be supplementary charges to cover travel and potential accommodation expenses, which can vary depending on the time of year and the precise location. Please contact me for a quote, with your venue and date.

  • I am booking around years in advance. I can sometimes try to offer space for short notice event bookings.

    To secure your preferred date and ensure availability, please reach out to me as soon as possible.​

  • As a reference, the majority of my paintings are typically finalised within 6-8 hours during an event.

  • You and your guests will easily spot yourselves in the painted depictions. While the figures are not intended to be highly detailed portraits, they are crafted to resemble you accurately using impressionistic style.

  • I offer various packages that cater to your preferences, allowing you to select the number of guests included. Options range from packages focused on the couple or small family groups to those accommodating up to approximately 8 guest likenesses.

  • All the materials I use are of archival quality, ensuring the highest level of longevity and quality for your painting. I take great care to ensure that your artwork will endure as long as the ink on your marriage certificate. My standard materials include renowned brands such as Winsor and Newton, Daler Rowney, and Golden paints, which are applied to high quality stretched cotton canvas. Acrylic paint is my preferred medium for live event painting due to its quick-drying properties, making it ideal for capturing the essence of the event on the spot. These materials are the utmost quality and lightfast, guaranteeing that your artwork will stand the test of time. To provide an extra layer of protection, I finish each painting with a coat of permanent matt or satin varnish. For specific events and upon prior discussion, I can also offer oil-based painting as an option, with any associated additional charges being discussed in advance.

  • Certainly, I can create a painting based on photos you supply.  This option offers flexibility, allowing you to have a custom painting created even if I'm not physically present at the event.

  • The painting is created on stretched canvas, ready for direct wall display. While I do not include a frame as part of the package, you have the option to frame it yourself by purchasing a frame online or I highly recommend seeking professional framing services to ensure the artwork is presented at its best.

I am Bedforsdhire based, and my fee includes weddings in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, London and Kent.

Travel fees outside Bedfordshire are usually 50p per mile for round trips.

For bookings more than 3 hours from Bedfordshire, I also charge for 1-2 nights accommodation at £100/night.

For any destination weddings please contact me for a quote.
